Live Action Role Playing is alive and well at OwlCon. If you have
never tried out a "LARP" then please consider giving it a try at
OwlCon, our LARPs welcome novices. Conventions provide an ideal
one-shot environment for trying out new games.

1890: strange Antarctic items are found, resembling Chilean artifacts. During examination, local rebellion breaks out, perhaps due to the earlier USA-split into four separate countries. All ports and trade are shut down. Visions and unknown miracles occur everywhere. Afterwards, the ports reopen and experts from all major countries arrive. 13 years of age or older to participate in this event. A fantasy-based, live-action, boffer-combat event for beginners and experienced LARPers alike - no previous knowledge of the ruleset required! The Houston Chapter of NERO will provide instruction, weapons, spell packets, pre-gen'd characters and all props. These adventures will be an introduction to the Houston chapter's campaign. No rock/paper/scissors... this is a light-contact-boffer game! Costumes not necessary, but armor bonuses awarded to garbed players!
