Geo Con -- Big News! Owlcon '99 will be the southern regional host of Geo Con. Geo Con is a nationwide role playing tournament featuring four first run Living City AD&D events.
In addition to Geo Con events, Owlcon will be running tournaments in GURPS, Shadowrun, Call of Cthulu, Wayfarer Infinity, and Vampire: The Masquerade, presenting a cornucopia of role playing action.Speaker --
L. E. Modesitt, Jr. -- author of the Saga of Recluce and the Spellsong Cycle, among other things. He'll be speaking to promote the newest Recluce novel, Colors of Chaos, at 8:00 p.m. on Friday, January 22. His talk will be followed by an autograph session.
Wayfarer Infinity Tournament -- The Battle for Tendredis Prime will take place all three days. This tournament is sponsored by Runes-Law, Inc.
Warhammer Tournament -- Table Top military strategy tournament sponsored by Book Browsers. Starts 10am Saturday.
Fantasy Art Gallery -- Houston area fantasy artists display their work. Some of the art will be up for sale.
Open Gaming -- Not interested in any tournaments for a time slot? Eliminated early? The open gaming room is where you can socialize with fellow gamers, hone up on gaming techniques, and play any games that we don't have tournaments for. Open throughout convention hours.
Dealer's Room -- Vendors of gaming supplies will be plying their trade. Anything you need for gaming should be there.
Anime Room -- Japanese animation playing throughout Owlcon hours. An alternative to open gaming.
