There will be a five dollar entry fee, which covers all rounds of the tournament. Armies will be built on 1750 points. Show up early enough to register. Take a Break!We will have one hour breaks between the standard gaming slots to allow you a chance to browse the dealers' room, finish up tourney paperwork and prize awards, eat, etc. So take it easy and game away, you won't have to run to your next session. MiBs, Outriders, and Wolfpacks, Oh My!We are bringing in the big guns for game masters. The Houston area Men-in-Black, the official Steve Jackson Games volunteers, will be at OwlCon running all of the Steve Jackson Games offerings. or your own personal and political agenda? Using the fun and easy
"AK47 Republic" rules from Peter Pig, with a dash of optional

for improving the game. I will provide the miniatures needed to
run the game and just need a little table space. |

| 42 | The Battle of Arrowfield Church | 2-6 Players | ||
| Johnny Reb III | Sat1900, Sun1200 | Beginner | ||
|
May 9, 1864, north of Petersburg, Virginia, late afternoon......The
previous day Major General Benjamin Butler led his Army of the
James out from Bermuda Hundred and turned southward towards Petersburg.
On May 9, elements of the XVIII Corps approached Swift Creek,
4 miles north of Petersburg. Although additional Confederate units
were on the way, at that moment only two Rebel brigades - Johnson
Hagood's and Bushrod Johnson's - blocked the Federal's southward
movement. While Johnson defended east of the Richmond Turnpike,
Hagood's Brigade blocked the main advance along the Richmond Turnpike.
Hagood attempted to resolve conflicting orders by aggressively
moving across Swift Creek and charging the Federals near Arrowfield
Church. Though the resultant heavy losses forced Hagood to withdraw,
his bold action sufficiently impressed the Federals that they
halted their advance for the day. |

Never fear, you can still submit an event. The only real change is that we can not guarantee that we will be able to include your event. However, we will let you know long before the con occurs. We also need lots of plain old warm bodies to help out, so be a volunteer if you don't want to GM!
Conventions are a great place to meet new gamers and help strengthen the hobby. We'll even give you a cool, free commemorative T-shirt! Gamemasters will be asked to run two sessions of gaming, the sessions can both be the same scenario or two different ones. If you run a third session, we'll think of something cool to give you, maybe some dealer dollars. If you'd like to run a game, please fill out the form at the following link:
