Volunteers
Conventions are a great place to meet like-minded folk and help strengthen
the hobby. It is not without its rewards. For eight to ten hours
of work, you get free admission to the convention, a chance to help
your hobby, and a cool commemorative T-shirt! We need game
masters, gophers, registration staff, security, and a lot more.
If you'd like to help out, please read on!
What We Need
- Food - people to facilitate the ready availability of food and beverages
as needed.
- Misc - the jobs we didn't think of ahead of time, or are specialized
such as sign posting.
- Registration - people to take money, register people, make up badges,
give out programs, sell gaming tickets, and distribute T-shirts.
- Security - people to control traffic to the Dealers' room as well
as to be on hand for enforcing the convention rules in various key
locations.
- Setup - people to help with general setup. This may also include
helping Dealers on Friday afternoon/evening.
