Cthulhu Live!

L01 Frozen in Time 6-30 players
Cthulhu Live! Fri. 2000 Beginner

Note: This is a special event and requires a special events pass.

In the Year of Our Lord, One Thousand Nine Hundred and Twenty Seven, combined purpose was conceived between the halls of Miskatonic University and the University of Moscow. A research mission in the Antarctic was to travel by ship and foot to the South Pole. An expedition for the hopes of academia and all Humanity, this joint mission was to have several nationalities represented. Its brave pathbreakers were a varied team composed of scientists, academics, seasoned explorers and adventurers.

Originally the lofty goal was to seek the South Pole and take various measurements for science. Menacingly, a fateful change in the weather had brought delay and concern to the intrepid group once they left shipmates behind and trekked 'cross the frozen wastes. Yet even that paled to a singular insignificance upon the discovery of an archaeological anomaly that was to be found in the flowing cavern in which they had sought succorous shelter.

Remarks: Costuming is not required but definitely encouraged. Scenario allows for semi-formal 1920's attire to rugged, comfortable clothing (including jeans and flannel shirt).

World of Darkness

L03 World of Darkness LARP 20 - 50 players
STARS Sat. 2000 Beginner
Note: This is a special event and requires a special events pass.

This is a Live-Action Role Playing game in which you dress and act out the role of your character in the story. Anything that can't or shouldn't be done physically (like picking an imaginary lock or punching someone) is handled by a simple rules mechanic (if you can play paper-scissors-rock, you can use this mechanic, if not, it's easy to learn). This game is set in modern day Houston in White Wolf's World of Darkness. It is very similar to our own Houston, only the shadows are darker, corruption more rampant, and unspeakable things walk the night. Sounds fun, doesn't it?
