When, Where, and How Much?

Convention Start: Friday, February 8, 2002. Registration opens at 6:00 PM. Gaming starts at 8:00 PM.
Convention End: Sunday, February 10, 2002. Gaming ends at 7:00 PM, doors close at 8:00 PM.
Location: Rice University's RMC/Ley Student Center (see also our Maps & Directions Page)

Note: payment at the door must be in the form of cash or check. ATMs are available in the student center as needed.

You must have a special events pass to play in Live Action Role Playing (LARP) events, the Warhammer 40k Rogue Trader Tournament, LSHM Warmaster Tournament, and RPGA events.

Party and Costume Contest

We are taking over the Graduate Student Pub, known as Valhalla for an informal gathering Saturday night. Any valid convention pass will grant admittance. We may not be a fancon, but a costume contest will occur in some loosely organized fashion and we will all cooh with amazement at your costumes, as appropriate. Beer on tap will be absurdly inexpensive and the mystique of drinking in Valhalla is free.

Convention Hours

OwlCon will begin at 6:00 PM Friday and continue until 9:00 PM Sunday.  Aside from Live Action Role-Playing, the 24-hour open gaming room, the 24-hour anime room, and the party in Valhalla, OwlCon 2k2 will occur in the Rice Student Center. The hours of OwlCOn 2k2 in the Student Center will be:
