Miniatures Painting Clinic

M01 Miniatures Painting Clinic 4 - 8 painters

Sure, you can get three colors down on your army, but there's a little more to painting than that. For those of you interested in the more advanced tips and tricks, this is the place. Topics will be somewhat free form, but will include color theory, brush maintenance, airbrushes, resins, the chemistry of paint, and more. This clinic is aimed at miniatures painters that have already learned the basics. Feel free to bring your paints, brushes, and minis.

Battlefront W.W. II

M03 Airfield Assault: PTO, 1944 4 - 8 players
Battlefront WW II Sat. 1500 Beginner
United States Marines and soldiers of the Imperial Japanese Army square off for control of an airfield in the Pacific. Join the Corps and cross the airfield to root the stubborn Japanese defenders from their entrenchments on the jungle's edge or honor the Emperor by fighting back the US Marines and throwing them back into the jungle.

M04 Where Eagles Drop 3 - 6 players
Battlefront W.W. II Sat. 1000 Beginner
In the early hours of June 6, 1944 the 101st Airborne Division parachuted into the Cotentin Peninsula to secure the areas West of Utah Beach. Some troop drops were on-target, while other sticks of troopers were spread out over the French landscape. The Screaming Eagles of the 101st had to secure their objectives as best as they could with whatever forces they had. German defenders were initially confused, but soon rallied and made counterattacks to repel the airborne invaders. Guide your troops in the first daylight hours of this Day of Days in 15mm scale.

Whether you're the American liberators of France, the stoic German defenders of the Fatherland, or the heroic and patriotic defenders of the Russian motherland, Battleground WW II is a great fast paced system of one figure per man minis combat in 28mm scale. It's the only game with rules for a gory death! Take a squad or two and maybe some armor support and we'll show you where the iron crosses grow!

As the 11th Airborne assists in clearing the highlands of the main island of Luzon they meet tough resistance from the Japanese. The Americans must clear the battery of Japanese Infantry guns covering the main road. The Japanese must protect the guns in order to keep the road closed. A unique scenario including mortars, field guns, and a Sherman.

M09 Valley of Bones II (Open Tournament) 2 - 16 players

Two armies face off across the Valley of Bones. The general on one side shouts "Charge!" and the armies surge forward, each hoping to be the first to control the hill in the middle, and to destroy the opposing forces.
Note: You may bring your own Disks, but it is not required.

Cow Town is normally a quiet little western town, although the undertaker may disagree! El Guano is to be hung for his crimes against the citizens of Cow Town. Can his brothers break him out of jail before his date with the noose? Can the sheriff keep the town safe? Is the town's money safe in the bank? Or can the wily charms of Miss Kitty and her saloon girls be resisted?
You roll the dice and see.
Remarks: Children allowed as long as accompanied by an adult.

Star Fleet Battles

This is a multiple round event with elimination.

  • Initial rounds - you should initially sign up for one of the initial rounds, Fri. 2000 or Sat. 2000.
  • First advancement round is Sun 1000.
  • Second advancement round is Sun 1500.
  • Players cannot sign up for the Sunday rounds unless they win in the earlier round(s).

Welcome to the Starfleet Battles tournament. Join the ranks of your favorite heros from the original Star Trek episodes. Take command of a Klingon D7, Federation CA, Romulan Firehawk or any of a dozen more vessels in a tournament ladder series of single elimination duels. As each of you vie for the coveted rated ace card, you will have the opportunity to meet fellow Starfleet Battles players in the Houston area.
Player Gear: The players should bring their own dice.

Note: This is not an official GW tournament.
Rules used: 3rd ed. with Codex's and Chapter Approved.
Bring your army and see if you have what it takes to out think, out last, and out fight your opponents. Your goal is to be the last force standing, proving by divine will that your group is the best around.
Remarks: Bring 1250 points using one force detachment without any special characters.
While painted miniatures are great and look cool, they are not required. However, be advised that you will need some way to tell your dayglow orange Space Marine from somebody else's dayglow orange Space Marine

LSHM presents the Second Leg of it’s Warmaster Tournament Series. Series leader Martin Sheaffer of Ft Worth took 1st place at Millennium IV in November. Can you wrest his Undead horde from its perch? The Third Leg of the series will take place mid-2002; the overall leader of the Series will be crowned LSHM Warmaster 2001-2002 Grand Champion. If you play Warmaster you need to be in this tournament!

A word of warning...
The Nostromo was only the beginning. Aliens have infiltrated deep space merchant and mining ships. Most crews are already dead. Reinforcement Space Marine Terminators are being sent to discover more. Players have the option of competing in this miniatures/board game tournament as either the malicious aliens or the hardened marines, or both! And remember, in space no one can hear you scream.
