ACW Battle of Perryville
|
2-4 players |
| Fri2000, Sat1000 |
Beginner |
| On October 8, 1862, the pivotal battle for control
of Kentucky occurred at Perryville. The widely separated Federal
forces were still deploying when McCook's I Corps suddenly bore
the brunt of a strong Confederate attack in the early afternoon.
Fighting continued until the southerners ran out of momentum
with the coming darkness. Despite suffering greater casualties,
the Federals did not break and most of their troops had not
been committed to battle. After learning just how many fresh
units his opponent still had, Bragg withdrew from the field
the next day. How well will you fare?
